Northern Senators Forum Calls for Investigation Into Death of Miners

The Northern Senators Forum has mourned the deaths of 37 young Nigerians in NSCDC custody in Niger State describing it as deeply disturbing.

In a statement by its Chairman, Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua, the Forum demanded an immediate, transparent and independent investigation, including independent autopsies.

The Forum extends its deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and the people of Niger State, praying Almighty Allah to forgive the departed, and grant their families fortitude to bear the irreparable losses.
