The National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) has sacked Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya popularly known as MC Oluomo as the Lagos state chairman.

The union also announced Seyi Bankole as the new head of the Lagos chapter. The Nation had reported NURTW suspended MC Oluomo before he pulled out from the national body.

The National Administrative Council of the union disclosed this in a statement titled: ‘Dissolution of Lagos State Administrative Council.’ The National President, Alhaji Tajudeen Baruwa and General Secretary, Alhaji Kabiru Ado Ya’u signed the statement. According to the union, the decision was based on the provisions of the union’s constitution.

“MC Oluomo has been sacked as Lagos chairman. We had a meeting last night. We have replaced him.

“His earlier withdrawal from the union holds no ground. That’s unacceptable to us,” a national officer said.
