Oborevwori’s Tribunal Victory is Victory for all Deltans – Sam Sodje

Former International football star, Sam Sodje has celebrated the governor of Delta State, His Excellency Sheriff Oborewori on his election tribunal victory on Friday.

This is according to a statement signed by himself and a copy was sent to Congress News correspondent on Friday.

The statement reads, “I want to celebrate and felicitate with His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, the executive governor of Delta State on his victory at the Delta State governorship election tribunal.

“This victory is God’s divine message to the people of Delta State and such should be taken as a divine call to everyone to accept the result of the last governorship elections as God’s mandate for the governor to serve the people of Delta State specifically and Nigerians in general.

“In light of the above and even though the other parties have the constitutional right of appeal in respect of this tribunal decision, it is my prayer and hope that the other parties see reason and hopefully do amiable things by deciding to accept the judgement of the tribunal in order not to continue distracting the state governor from delivery on his electioneering promises.

“The task of moving Delta State forward and delivering gains of democracy to our people demands the efforts and contributions of all Deltans going forward to make good things happen in our dear state.

“While singling out the governor for congratulations, this victory is for everyone in Delta State and as such this congratulations is for all Deltans. I do not doubt that His Excellency, being a man of God shall continue to run an open-door administration that will be accommodating to every well-meaning Deltan who is willing to contribute to the development of Delta State.
Once again, a big Congratulations to Delta State,” he added.
