Okpoye Commends Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda

The Commissioner representing the Ijaw ethnic group on the DESOPADEC board, Hon. Spencer O. Okpoye, commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his commitment to the state’s M.O.R.E. Agenda during the commissioning of the Ogulagha Model Secondary School, facilitated by DESOPADEC.
Speaking to WAFFI TV on Friday, Okpoye praised the Governor’s efforts in developing oil-producing, riverine areas, with the Ogulagha school as a prime example of such impactful projects.
He emphasised the government’s focus on delivering essential amenities to these often-overlooked communities, reflecting the Governor’s clear vision for sustainable growth. Okpoye noted that DESOPADEC, under the leadership of Chief Barrister Nani, remains aligned with the M.O.R.E. Agenda, which promotes meaningful development, opportunities, realistic reforms, and engagement with the people.
Okpoye reassured the public that the DESOPADEC board is fully committed to fulfilling the Governor’s vision, especially for the oil-producing communities, with the Ogulagha school being just the beginning of more projects to come.
He also thanked the Ogulagha community for their support for DESOPADEC and the PDP-led government, urging them to remain steadfast in backing Governor Oborevwori’s administration as more developmental achievements are on the horizon.
