Yemi Emiko, one of the brain behind the suspension of Chief Ayiri Emami Ologbotsere of Warri and Chairman of the Olu Advisory Council, has admitted that they made a great error in suspending Chief Ayiri Emami as Ologbotsere of Itsekiri kingdom.

Prince Yemi stated that the council of Chiefs did not follow the law as it should be during the election process of the present Olu of Warri.

He asserted that the selection of Emiko as Omoba after the demise of Ogiame Ikenwoli was a wrong move of process of the enthronement of a new Olu.

However, Emami was suspended as the Ologbotsere following the crisis that trailed the selection of the present Olu of Warri.

Recall, one of the paramount ruler of Yoruba land, Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Ogunwusi, in 2022 initiated a reconciliation move for the aggrieved parties.

However, the reconciliation doesn’t work as Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, installed Chief Oma Eyewuoma as the new Ologbotsere of Warri kingdom.

Meanwhile, Emiko maintained that Ayiri didn’t commit any crime, that all he did was to stand by the law.
