Opuede community elects Mackson Ode as chairman

Comrade Mackson Ode, a famous scholar and activist has been elected as chairman of Opuede federated community in Gbaramatu Kingdom in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta state.

This was contained in a statement by the community leadership which a copy was sent to Congress correspondent.

He was reportedly adopted on the 31st day of December, 2022 at the mini town hall of the community in Gbaramatu Kingdom of Warri South/West LGA of Delta State by the Elders and entire members of the community.

His adoption was followed by the expiration of the immediate past community Chairman, Chief Williams Tortor after a 13year stay in office as the Chairman.

The adoption and confirmation of the new Trust Chairman, Comrade Mackson Ode was conducted and supervised by the most elderly man and Chairman of the Opuede Elmer’s Council, PA, James Orubu, Chief Fineman Ibime as well as the Chairman of the three months caretaker committee, Mr. Patrick Ibime.

The entire youth of the community as well as some of the members of executive of the immediate past administration led by Chief Williams Tortor were on ground to witness the confirmation of the new Trust Chairman, Mackson Ode and his new executive to run the affairs of Opuede Federated Community for the next 3years.
