Ospoly Rector Suspension: Osun Govt Calls For Calm

Following the suspension of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree Rector, the Management, staff and students of Osun State Polytechnic Iree, have been urged to remain calm as matters concerning the suspension of the Rector of the institution will be resolved soon.
This is according to a statement by the Commissioner for Education, Hon. Dipo Eluwole while having a meeting with the representatives of the Academic staff union of Polytechnics ( ASUP).
Hon. Eluwole who described the state governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke as a man of peace called for absolute calm and patience as the matter will soon be resolved amicably.
As a way towards restoring peace and sanity to the institution, the commissioner announced that an investigative panel will soon be put in place by the state government to take a look at the factors that led to the suspension of the Rector and subsequent appointment of another person in an acting capacity.
The commissioner vehemently denied the involvement of the Adeleke-led administration in the matter, maintaining that it is not interested in the politics and administration of the school.
While speaking, the Permanent Secretary, of the Ministry of Education Mr Murtala Jimoh thanked the ASUP representatives for their patience and orderliness during the meeting with the Commissioner just as he assured the union that necessary modalities would soon be put in place to restore a lasting peace to the institution.
He maintained that Senator Ademola Adeleke will not fail at doing anything morally and officially possible to restore peace in the institution.
He assured the state government of the love and solidarity of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree to the present administration.
