Over 100 Nasarawa, FCT Kidnapped Victims Rescued in Kogi

A vigilance group in Kogi state has rescued not less than 100 victims of kidnappers who were kidnapped mainly from the Federal Capital Territory ( FCT )and Nasarawa state.

It was reported that the victims were rescued due to an operation carried out by the Kogi Vigilance group in the forest located in the state.

According to a release signed by Mr Onagwu Muhammed, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Yahaya Bello, he stressed that the Vigilance group numbering up to 90 members stormed Odullo forest and Sardauna forest to rescue the victims.

It was narrated that the 134 rescued victims were kidnapped from Abaji, Kuje and Kwali in FCT, and also the Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa state.

Mr Dauda Aliyu, the Kogi Vigilance group chairman received the rescued victims and appreciated the brave vigilantes for a job well done.

Dauda however, gave thanks to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello for his continuous support for the group to fight against criminality in the state.

The Security Adviser to the state governor, Jerry Omodara, also appreciated the efforts of the Vigilance group and other security agencies in the state for their daily efforts in waging war against crimes in the state.
