PDP guber primaries: We count on you–Ozobo tells Delta North stakeholders, delegates

The president of the Ijaw People’s Development Initiative, IPDI, Comrade Ozobo Austin has said Ijaw is counting on stakeholders and delegates of Delta North to deliver Ijaw candidates at this week’s PDP governorship primaries in the state.

This was contained in a statement he signed and forwarded to journalists in Warri Delta state on Tuesday.

According to Ozobo, stakeholders and delegates of Delta North must remember that at a critical time like this Ijaws stuck out their necks to rescue them, adding that Ijaw needs them now and that they should replicate the same love for the Ijaws.

He stressed that the umbrella that covers you during the rainy days, should not be abandoned because there would be still another rainy day.

Ozobo said the Urhobos have produced two democratic governors and it was wrong for them to be fighting over the governorship when Ijaw is yet to produce the governor in the state.

He called on Urbobo neighbours to drop their governorship ambition and support Ijaw governorship ambition massively.

He also called on Ijaw delegates to vote for Ijaw aspirants at this week’s PDP governorship primaries in the state, adding that they should desist from betraying the Ijaw agenda.
