The Taraba State Police Command has apprehended four suspected kidnappers in a bid to stamp out criminality in the state.

This is coming barely two weeks after 20 suspected kidnappers were paraded before newsmen in Jalingo, the State capital, by the police command.

Confirming the development, the command’s spokesperson, Abdullahi Usman, gave the names of the arrested suspects as: Babangida Yakubu, Sunday Nuyama, Layanu Kamu and Emma Ezekiel.

He narrated that the suspects are all indigenes of the State, noting that they were arrested on the 27th September, 2023 in Ardo-Kola Local Government Area of the State.

Congress learnt that the arrest was carried out by the Special Taskforce attached to the State Police Command following a tip off by some good Samaritans.

Weapons recovered from the suspects, according to the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, are: one fabricated beretta pistol, one locally made pistol and one 9mm live ammunition.
