Police Confirm Elimination of 17 Suspected Bandits in Kebbi Gun Encounter

The Nigeria Police Force has confirmed the elimination of seventeen suspected bandits in a gun duel with suspected bandits in Sakaba Local Government Area of Kebbi State. It also says they lost personnel and two civilians as well.
In a statement the incident occurred at about 9:25 Monday morning along the Rafin Makuku axis of Sakaba, when Police operatives intercepted suspected bandits moving between Zamfara and Kebbi States.
The Police said four motorcycles belonging to the attackers were also destroyed, while two other Police personnel sustained injuries and were receiving medical attention.
The remains of the fallen officers have been conveyed to Birnin Kebbi, while additional security personnel have been deployed to the area to sustain operations.
