Police foil attempt to abduct 3, arrest suspects

Nigerian Police Force arrest three suspects who attempted to kidnap three businessmen in Adamawa State.

It was gathered the three suspects were using an unregistered mobile line to threaten residents of Mayo Belwa at Ganye Local Government Areas.

The victims were named as Alhaji Bala Hamman, Ahaji Abdulkarim Bayo and Alhaji Ibrahim Bayo.

They demanded to abducted the businessmen if they failed to pay a ransom of N10m.

DSP Suleiman Nguroje, who is the police Public Relations Officer in the state, explained that the three businessmen later reported the threats coming from an unknown subscribers using separate phone numbers to them.

The spokesperson gave the names of the three suspects as; Awal Hammawa, 31, Usman Ali 20 and Maigari Adamu, 24 years respectively. They were arrested using the Rescue Me App.
