President Tinubu, 36 states governors in close-door meeting in Aso Rock

President Bola Tinubu reportedly held a close-door meeting with members of the Nigerian Governors Forum at the Presidential Villa on Wednesday.

The meeting commenced at 12pm shortly after Tinubu swore in Senator George Akume as the new Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

The swearing-in ceremony was held briefly at the council chamber of the Presidential Villa on Wednesday.

The new SGF, Akume took his Oath of Allegiance and Oath of Office in the presence of government officials.

Some of the dignitaries at the swearing-in were Vice President Kashim Shettima; President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan; Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State, Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr FolasadeYemi-Esan and the spouse of the new SGF, Mrs Regina Akume.
