Rampaging northern bandits kidnap 10 travellers in Kogi

Suspected number of travellers numbering about ten have been abducted in Kogi state, Nigeria.

It was gathered that no fewer than 10 persons were abducted from a sienna bus in Okene, Kogi state yesterday.

Some survivors who recounted their ordeals stated in a viral video: “We are reporting live from Okene. Bandits just abducted some passengers from our bus. Nigeria is finished, this is the reason why people don’t travel by road.

“We narrowly escaped being kidnapped. Our driver is among people kidnapped by bandits. It is another driver that is driving our bus now. They took our driver and others to the forest.” survivors narrated.

However, there has not been any official statement from security agencies in the state as regards yesterday’s incident.
