Reps 2023: Ibori’s daughter floors Igbakpa in Ethiope federal constituency PDP primary re-run

The daughter of the former governor of Delta State, Hon. Erhiatake Ibori has crushed Ben Igbakpa, the incumbent member representing the Ethiope federal constituency in a re-run primary election of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.

A re-run election conducted at the Constituency this morning (May 24, 2022 after the two aspirants got equally votes at the Sunday party primaries, gave victory to Erhiatake Ibori.

It was learnt the Ibori’s daughter Erhiatake Ibori beats the incumbent Ben Igbakpa with 42 votes to emerge as the flagbearer of the party’s ticket in the Constituency.

While the incumbent who is a first term member of the House of Representatives lost to Erhiatake Ibori with 22 votes.

Recall, during the PDP primaries on Sunday at Ethiope constituency it was reported that Hon. Erhiatake Ibori and Hon. Ben Igbakpa got equally votes and a re-run was fixed for them today (Tuesday).
