Residents Scoop Spilled Diesel As Tanker Crashes On Lagos-Ibadan Highway

A diesel tanker crashed, spilling its content on the Otedola bridge, inwards Berger, on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, on Thursday.

In a video shared by the Lagos State Waste Management Authority on their official X handle, people were seen with buckets and kegs scooping the diesel directly from the tanker and from the floor.

The accident also cornered and damaged a bus bearing the inscription, ‘Senior Staff Association of Electricity and Allied Companies.’

Operatives of the Lagos Fire and Rescue Service were seen at the scene of the incident, trying to guard against a fire outbreak.

LASTMA also reports that their officials are on the ground doing the needful, and efforts to evacuate the truck are ongoing.
