Rivers PDP guber candidate, Fubara absent at the party’s leadership meeting in Abuja

The Rivers State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Sir Siminialayi Fubara was reportedly absent at the leadership/governorship candidates meeting held in Abuja on Wednesday.

It was learnt that the National Working Committee of the PDP held a critical meeting with the Leadership of the Party including Candidates ahead of the 2023 Elections on Wednesday in Abuja.

It is unclear if his absence has anything to do with the rift between the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar and Governor Wike.

Congress newspaper was unable to confirm whether Siminialayi Fubara’s absence at the meeting was in connection with his pending case with the EFCC.

However, the PDP National Chairman, Dr Iyorchia Ayu had expressed optimism over resolving the party’s internal crisis.
