Soundarya Group of Institutions unfurls the curtains for “ KALA VAIBHAVAM 2022”

The prestigious cultural event KALA VAIBHAVAM 2022 was organised by SIMS IQAC Initiatives, soundarya kannada vedike, Italy kannada sahitya sanga, NSS and NCC in collaboration with Purandara International Trust (Karunada Gurukula) Kalavaibhavam, international dance and music festival 2022 was held in Soundarya Institute of Management Campus on 16/02/22 and 17/02/22.

The function was graced by Sri. Soundarya P Manjappa, Chairman, Soundarya Educational Trust. A huge gathering was assembled to hear the melodious Karnatic vocal performance by Bangalore Brothers.

The Bangalore Brothers are well known for their strong bond, grown by long years of companionship.. Hariharan learned vocal music from S N Srinivas Prasanna. Ashok took vocal lessons under R Ramesh, D S Srivatsa and Vaidehi.

He learned Mridangam from well-known percussionist H S Sudhindra. They passed their Vidwat exams with first ranks. They studied engineering and received post-graduate degrees in music.

Meanwhile, Hariharan began accompanying Ashok to Sudhindra’s home. He even began learning the Mridangam and vocal music from Sudhindra. He also dabbled in Khanjira. They have given scores of concerts in the last 10 years.

On the second day, 17/02/22 , the audience witnessed the breath taking bharathanatyam Performance by Karunada Gurukula. The precision in their moves mesmerised the viewers. Soundarya educational trust is always a step ahead in promoting performing arts and literature.
