The APC Governors’ Forum has admonished their counterparts, the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) to watch their utterances and actions capable of staring the masses against the federal government.

A statement released in Abuja yesterday, the Chairperson of the Progressives Governors’ Forum and Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma said the economic and security challenges bedevilling Nigeria needed a collective approach towards finding sustainable solution and not pointing fingers.

Reacting to the press briefing by PDP Governors on Monday where they compared Nigeria to Venezuela, Uzodinma said it was unpatriotic of those in position of power to play the ostrich when they are not oblivion of what President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is doing to tame the situation.

According to him, while the PDP had gathered what they perceived to be the economic contradiction of the country, they had not also documented a single solution to this trying time of the country.

Uzodimma noted that the statement by the PDP Governors is,“Ultimately, the decision rests squarely with the citizens and institution in the government to ensure that we take actions that can spike economic growth to all of us ” it unpatriotic of us to incite the public against the federal government, particularly coming on the heels of a 14 days notice of strike by the organised Labour union”.

The Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Council added that, he was happy that PDP as a party nurtured the removal of fuel subsidy, which is a nucleus of the economic challenges in the country.

He stressed: ” I don’t know when the PDP stopped supporting the economic policy, it is a common cliche that says you can not make an omelette without breaking an egg.”

Uzodinma maintained ,he was aware that President Tinubu is working assiduously round the clock to ensure that the economy is brought back from it broken feet.
