The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, is currently holding a closed-door meeting with the leadership of the Organised Labour, comprising the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC). The meeting is believed to be centered on the ongoing nationwide strike and the contentious issues of minimum wage and electricity tariff hike.
