Surveillance Contract: IPDI congratulates Tompolo, knocks Arewa Youths

Foremost Niger Delta Rights group, the Ijaw People’s Development Initiative, IPDI, has felicitated High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo for being considered for the award of the oil pipeline surveillance contract by the federal government of Nigeria.

IPDI, in a statement made available to newsmen in Warri, Delta State by its National president Comrade Ozobo Austin and Secretary, Comr Keneware Emmanuel described the federal government gesture as the best move to sustain the peace in the region.

Reacting, the group also mocked Arewa Youths Assembly for being used by suspected enemies to fight against the award of the surveillance contract to Tompolo, adding that the Northern youth group and its co-travellers should bury their faces in shame over their failed plots.

The group lauds President Muhammadu Buhari’s led administration for sustaining the peace in the Niger Delta region by re-awarding the oil surveillance contract to Tompolo.

The duo, further described the Arewa Youth Assembly as an enemy of Niger Delta for calling on the Federal Government not to grant Tompolo the oil surveillance contract some months ago, noting that Tompolo was the only capable hand that could handle such classified assignment with desirable results.
