Suspected armed men abduct pastor, wife, children

Suspected armed men have allegedly whisked away an Anglican priest, Rev Agbadamashi Emmanuel, his wife and children in Delta state.

Congress gathered the incident happened along the East-West road by Evwreni junction on Friday, October 6 while they were travelling home.

The source said the cleric and members of his family were travelling from Ughelli to the Uwheru community, in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State when the armed men attacked and kidnapped them.

The Public Relations Officer of the Anglican Communion, Ughelli Diocese, Hon Justice Iyasere confirmed the incident to a journalist in a telephone chat.

However, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe could not immediately confirm the incident as he promised to talk to our correspondent when briefed.
