Suspected gun-wielding militants kill residents in Abuja community

A suspected militia group allegedly killed two residents in Munu, a community under the Abaji area council in the Federal Capital Territory-Abuja on Wednesday.

It was gathered that the gunmen equally abducted many residents during the attack in the community.

The incident reportedly occurred on Tuesday night at about 11 am where the two residents were shot dead and several others abducted.

According to a resident (name withheld), the bandits looted provision shops as well as a drinking joint during the operation which lasted for about an hour.

He asserted, “Some mobile policemen deployed to our neighbouring community of Rubochi, where a Federal Government College is located visited us about 30 minutes after the operation and they promised to come back for fact-finding.”
