Suspected hoodlums attack Atiku’s campaign convoy in Borno

Suspected hoodlums have attached and injured over 70 persons in Atiku’s campaigns at Borno state.

The attack came on the heels of the PDP presidential campaign in Maiduguri, Borno State, on Wednesday.

In a now viral video, some supporters of the PDP presidential candidate were seen running helter-skelter as gun shots rend the air.

The PDP Presidential Campaign train had landed in Borno, a state under the control of the All Progressives Congress.

The attack left several vehicles in the convoy of Atiku vandalized at Ramat Square in Maiduguri, the state capital.

However, spokesman for the Atiku Campaign, Senator Dino Malaye, has blamed the attack on the APC.

According to the former lawmaker, more than 70 people were hospitalised as the APC attempted prevented his party from holding its rally.

“They wanted to prevent us from doing holding the campaign, as we speak, 74 people were injured and hospitalised.

“Several vehicles were vandalised by APC thugs.”

However, the APC was yet to react to Melaye’s allegation as of the time of filing this report.
