Suspected internet fraudster tortures apprentices for not meeting target

Precious Mayor, a suspected internet fraudster, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command.

He was arrested for allegedly torturing his apprentices at Igbogbo in the Ikorodu area of the state.

According to information, the victims were said to have travelled from Imo State to receive instruction in cyber fraud from the Mayor.

However, when they failed to meet their targets just a few days into their apprenticeship, the Mayor reportedly confined them to a room and subjected them to physical harm.

Spokesperson of the command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the incident to the publication, said the suspect was on Tuesday, August 26, 2023, arrested, along with his wife, Emmanuela Mayor and two other accomplices: Prince Afam and Israel Simon

“The victims were tortured and deprived of their freedom. The arrested suspects have been moved to the State Criminal Investigation Department,” the PPRO added.
