Sylva emerges Gbaramatuvoice Niger Delta Man of the Year

The Honourable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva has emerged as the Gbaramatuvoice newspaper 2022 Niger Delta Man/Minister of the Year.

According to the the Publisher and the Management of the media company, the Petroleum minister emerged as the Niger Delta Man/Minister of the Year by a wide public pool conducted.

In a press statement issued by the company’s management, a letter of notification of conferment of the Award had been presented to the Honourable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva on Thursday, July 21 by the Publisher/CEO, Jacob Abai and his top team at the NNPC Towers, Abuja.

It was learnt that the Award would be conferred on the Minister at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja on Tuesday, August 30, 2022.

Abai, while making clarification said the GbaramatuVoice’s decision to award the minister was to recognition his productive and beneficent interventions in ensuring the Petroleum Industry Act was assented to by His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari, an occurrence that had further positioned the NNPC as a commercialized public entity.

The statement further urged that Timipre Sylva, the former governor of Bayelsa State would also deliver the keynote address at the 7th Anniversary Lecture on August 30 in a topic titled: “Oil politics, securing national assets, dependency, and diversification.”

In his acceptance speech, the minister endorsed both the forthcoming Gbaramatuvoice 7th Anniversary and the award offer.

Sylva, however described GbaramatuVoice as a credible media organization which every right-thinking man would always identify with.

In his words, “GbaramatuVoice has done well for the Ijaw nation and Nigeria as a whole, I will personally be there,” he added.

Also expected at the event are the governors of the Niger Delta states, honorable ministers from the region, critical non-state actors, oil companies and their chief executives, host communities’ managements and the private sector.

The publisher further maintained that the anniversary celebration would provide a platform for original discussions, systematic reviews of multi-sectoral initiatives as well as critical intervention strategies as they affect the Niger Delta.

However, the GbaramatuVoice newspaper which was established in 2015, had grown into a global multi-media organization serving millions of readers around the world as an important media organization in the Niger Delta.
