2023: Takeme throws weight behind endorsement of Oborevwori as sole governorship candidate by Delta Youths

The Delta South senatorial district chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Julius Takeme has thrown weight behind the endorsement of the PDP governorship candidate, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori as the sole governorship candidate of Delta state by Delta Youth Political Alliance, DYPA, on Tuesday.

The group was led by Amb. Comrade Ozobo Austin and Comrade Ellington Ebakumo visited him in his residence on Tuesday.

According to the coordinators, the visit was to officially introduce the group’s LGA and ward coordinators to him as one of the patrons of the group.

Speaking at the meeting, the group said they decided to endorse Oborevwori as he remained the best among other governorship candidates in the state.

The group asserted:” Taken a close look at the various governorship candidates clamouring to take over power in Delta State, they appear not prepared and ready to lead the state. They are only pursuing personal agenda and do not have Deltans at heart.”

In response, Takeme thanked the group for deeming it fit to support PDP and all its candidates in this year’s general elections.

The PDP senatorial chairman said the endorsement of the PDP governorship and presidential candidates by Delta Youths Political Alliance, DYPA is a right peg in a square hole.

Takeme while speaking, noted that PDP would win both in Delta and presidential elections come February this year, adding that Delta Youths had made a remarkable decision that would save the state and the country from misrule of APC in the country.

He assured the group of his unalloyed support to strengthen the group’s efforts in canvassing votes for the party’s presidential, governorship, and other candidates of the party at various levels.
