Tension as 14 Abducted Passengers Whereabouts Remain Unknown In Delta

Tension has heightened in Delta State has 14 passengers abducted in Isele-Uku Junction in the State on 5th January, 2024 Whereabouts remained unknown.

Congress learnt that Dare devil bandits ambushed a bus belonging to Okeyson Motors Transport travelling from Enugu State to Lagos State and abducted the 14 passengers on board.

It was gathered that the incident happened on Friday, 5th January, 2024 while the occupants were travelling back to Lagos from Christmas holiday.

However, the driver Mr Obi who was released with wounds after paying undisclosed ransom spoke on how, the journey was smooth until they got to Isele-Uku junction when the kidnappers set nails on the road which damaged the tyres of the bus forcing the vehicle to a stop.

“While I was changing the tyre, the kidnappers came out from the nearby bush, shot sporadically and forcefully took both myself and the passengers into bush for ransom.”

“The abductors collected our phones and started making contacts with the families of the victims demanding for ransom or they will kill us and sell our parts.”

He said the fate of the passengers abducted from the bus had remained unknown and nothing had been heard since then.

The Okeyson Motors branch at Cele Bus Stop in Lagos, had refused to discuss about the incident.

Meanwhile, sources said the company tracked the bus inside the bush at Isele – Uku and recovered it shattered with bullets.

The sources stated that their captors are said to be demanding for undisclosed amount as ransom.
