Tension as Terrorists kill 41 vigilantes in Katsina

Suspected terrorists have killed about 41 vigilantes at Yargoje forest in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina, where other many residents were murdered during the weekend.

Congress learned that the Police Command in Katsina State had on Friday confirmed the death of 41 members of the local vigilance group “Yansakai”, in an ambush by terrorists in Yargoje forest.

It was learned the terrorists ambushed a convoy of vigilantes in the forest as they went to recover stolen cows leading to the killings.

According to the police, the bodies had been retrieved and deposited in the morgue, adding that an investigation is ongoing to clamp down on the suspects.
