As hardship persists in Nigeria following the removal of oil subsidy by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Trade Union Congress, TUC, has stated that the palliative proposed by the government is grossly inadequate when compared to the enormous challenges faced by the masses.

Recall, TUC had earlier addressed the state of the nation.

TUC charged the federal government of Nigeria to urgently address the increasing hardship in the country brought by on the fuel subsidy.

According to a statement by the TUC president, Festus Osifo, Wednesday, August 2, stated that the removal of subsidy has caused economic hardship in the country.

However, Osifo maintained that following several negotiation meetings with the government, the government has not demonstrated any commitment to the reduction of costs of governance.

For this reason, TUC called all members to embark on nationwide protests Wednesday, August 2.
