Minister of the FCT Nyesom Wike has said that the judiciary was correct in 2007 when it ruled in favour of Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, in his case to reclaim his mandate as governor of Anambra State.

However, he believes that the judiciary was wrong in its ruling on Wednesday when it dismissed Obi’s case challenging the results of the 2023 presidential election.

Wike, a Peoples Democratic Party chieftain, spoke exclusively when he was featured on Channels Television’s Politics Today programme on Thursday.

“Did Peter Obi not win at the Supreme Court when he was removed as governor? Did he pay a bribe? Let him tell the world now,” Wike said.

“When he was removed as a governor, did he not reclaim his mandate at the Supreme Court? Judiciary was right but now that the decision happened, the judiciary is wrong.”
