Two suspects in police net for supplying firearms to criminals

The Police Command in Jigawa State has apprehended two persons for allegedly supplying firearms to criminals in Kano and Jigawa States.

This was confirmed to newsmen by the Police spokesman, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam on Tuesday.

He gave the names of the suspects as Bilal Faraji, ’29’ and Yusuf A. Yusuf, ’28’ who were nabbed while supplying firearms to criminals along Ringim axis.

He said “On 03/10/2023 at about 0900hrs, one Bilal Faraji of Niger Republic and one Yusuf A. Yusuf of Kazaure LGA Jigawa state were arrested with firearms and ammunition which they were supplying to unscrupulous elements terrorising Ringim and its environs.’

The police spokeswoman, said on interrogation, the suspects confessed to have been selling and supplying firearms within Kano and Jigawa states.

Shiisu revealed that investigation is going on and the suspects will be taken to court for prosecution.
