The petitioners of Delta and Edo government officials Comrade Daniel Ezekiel and Hon God’stime Ogidigba have been accused of running away from police invitation.

It was gathered that the Inspector General of Police team had invited the petitioners including the Inikorogha community chairman, the ex-militant leader in the community and others to appear before him as part of the investigation into the purported petition against the said government officials.

But a source hinted to our reporter that over a week after the invitation, the petitioners were nowhere to be found, adding that they are running away because the petition might snowball.

However, several groups had called on the Police IG to release the detained government officials unconditionally to avoid avoidable protests in the Niger Delta region.
