Popular Niger Delta activist Comrade Ozobo Austin has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to renew and upgrade the pipeline surveillance contract awarded to High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo to accommodate and create more jobs for the teaming youths of the Niger Delta region.

This is according to a statement by himself and a copy was sent to Congress News correspondent on Monday.

He said the scope of Tompolo’s Tantita Security Contract should be increased, adding that Tantita had so far made many youths denounce criminality as they are now fully engaged.

Ozobo stated that the Tantita security had saved the region from high levels of environmental pollution, reduced oil theft and improved daily oil production in the country.

He said Tompolo’s contract should be reviewed and upgraded to at least N138.7 billion per annum to accommodate more youths and create more jobs to maintain the prevailing peace in the region.

The advocate said oil thieves are fighting to return to business, using the security agencies, power blocks and smear campaigns, adding that Tinubu should be careful and that renewing Tompolo’s Tantita security contract would cripple oil theft in the country.
