Warri Correspondents’ Chapel Celebrates Former Chairman Victor Okpomor on Birthday

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Warri Correspondents’ Chapel, has congratulated its immediate past Chairman, Mr. Victor Okpomor, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as a visionary leader whose contributions have continued to strengthen journalism practice in Delta State.

In a statement jointly signed by the Chapel Chairman, Okakuro Akpokona Omafuaire, and Secretary, Edeki Igafe, the union expressed gratitude to God for granting Mr. Okpomor another year of life and wished him many more years in good health, peace, and continued service to society.

The chapel praised the former chairman for his exemplary leadership, describing him as an astute professional, a bridge-builder, and a steadfast pillar of the Fourth Estate. According to the statement, his administrative legacy continues to inspire unity, professionalism, and institutional growth within the chapel.

The union also commended Mr. Okpomor for his remarkable sacrifices, landmark achievements, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of members and the advancement of journalism in Delta State.

Reflecting on his tenure, the chapel noted that he led with integrity, resourcefulness, and dedication, fostering stronger partnerships with security agencies, key stakeholders, and regional industry players, which significantly enhanced the chapel’s reputation and institutional standing.

While celebrating his new age, the Warri Correspondents’ Chapel prayed for God’s continued guidance, wisdom, favour, good health, and long life for the former chairman, expressing confidence that his years ahead would be filled with greater accomplishments, joy, professional fulfilment, and divine protection.
