Woman Sets Policewoman, Two Children Ablaze In Anambra

A policewoman and her two children have been set ablaze by a woman simply identified as Nneamaka Nwosu, in Anambra State.

The incident occurred at Nnokwa, Idemili South Local Government Area of the state.

According to the report, the suspect was divorced by her husband which rendered her homeless before the late policewoman offered her accommodation in her apartment.

It was reported that the barren woman argued with the policewoman which led to her hitting the policewoman on the head with a pestle.

The suspect continued and tied the policewoman and her children with a rope inside their room and set them ablaze with the building.

However, the suspect was apprehended by the operatives of a local Vigilante and some villagers while she was trying to escape.

The suspect who initially claimed it was a gas cylinder that exploded later confessed to the crime she committed.

The incident was affirmed by the state Police Command, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, said the suspect has been apprehended, while the bodies of the deceased have been moved to the mortuary.
