Youth clash injures scores, destroys houses in Aghoro ll community

Unease in Aghoro ll community in Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State as youth clash injured many persons and destroyed several houses on Friday.

The incident occurred on Friday morning when youths who were opposed to the outcome of the GMoU board election clashed with the group alleged to have won the election.

The clash reportedly led to the destruction of houses in the community, amongst were a house belonging to a federal lawmaker, Hon. Fred Agbedi, member representing Sagbama/Ekeremor federal constituency, in the house of representatives.

A community source said many houses were destroyed in the youth clash in the community.

The source narrated that there was still tension in the community as there could be a reprisal attack from any of the warring groups.
