Zamfara ADC Refutes Withdrawal From Governorship Race

The Zamfara State African Democratic Congress Governorship candidate Barrister Mahadi Aliyu Gusau debunked rumors regarding his withdrawal from the state Governorship race.
A statement by Salisu Mohammed, the Press Secretary to the ADC candidate said, the attention of Barrister Mahdi Aliyu Muhammad has been drawn to what they described as a malicious, fabricated, and misleading report currently being circulated on various social media platforms alleging that the ADC candidate withdrawn his candidature for the 2027 governorship election.
“We wish to categorically state that this report is false, baseless, mischievous, and the handiwork of desperate political elements whose sole objective is to mislead the public, create confusion within the polity, and undermine the democratic process. The statement read.
He further said, Barrister Mahadi Aliyu Gusau remains the authentic and undisputed gubernatorial candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Zamfara State.
“At no time has he withdrawn his candidature, nor has he authorized any individual or group to speak on his behalf regarding such a matter. Any publication, statement, or social media post suggesting otherwise should be disregarded by party members, supporters, stakeholders, INEC and the general public. The statement read.
Salisu said, the party strongly condemn the spread of fake news and deliberate misinformation.
