2023: APC senators threaten mass defection

Former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode, has revealed that about 22 senators were threatening to defect from the All Progressives Congress, APC to PDP.

The former minister tweeted that the senators were threatening to dump APC because they lost during the party’s primary elections.

Fani-Kayode had called on the APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu to urgently take a progress steps to reach out to them and address the concerns of the said senators.

He reiterated in his tweet that the ruling party can’t afford to lose the 22 senators ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Fani-Kayode said: “22 APC Senators are threatening to decamp to PDP because they have been denied the tickets to return to the Senate.

“This is serious and something must be done to prevent it. Many are concerned and we urge our able National Chairman National and Secretary to reach out to them. We cannot afford to lose them.”
