2023: Masked men who were sent to kill me looted my certificates in 1993 -Tinubu

Following a request by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for all presidential candidates of the 2023 general election of Nigeria to submit their credentials, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has said that his certificates were looted by suspected assailants who invaded his home after the 1993 general election.

He further added that his B.Sc in Economics was obtained at the University of Chicago between 1972 and 1976. He also posited that B.Sc in Business and Administration, as well as Public Account, were among his certificates looted.

Though, Bola Tinubu is yet to react to this viral report, alleging him to have said his certificates were looted by suspected assailants.

It would be recalled that the current president of the country also cited certificates lost through a fire outbreak and military coup during the 2015 general election, and submitted an affidavit in place of academic certificates.
