Just In: CJN, Justice Tanko Muhammad quits service

The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad resigned from service on Sunday Night.

It was learnt that he cited health challenges as a ground for his resignation, according to a top government source.

Though, there had been reports that Justice Tanko Muhammed was seriously ill for a while.

The source said that arrangements are now on to swear in the next most senior justice of the Supreme Court, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola as the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria.
