The Delta State Government has replied the former minister of information, Chief Edwin Clark over the trending open letter addressed to the state government, cautioning the elder statesman to address issues that will rescue Nigeria from the current hardship.

Okowa, in a statement by the commissioner of Information, Charles Aniagwu on Thursday debunked the corruption allegation raised by Clark in his letter.

Aniagwu added that the choice of Governor Okowa as the Vice Presidential candidate of the PDP was “a well merited one”.

The Delta State government in a statement tagged, “Okowa’s Excellent Performance in Delta Justified his Nomination as Vice-Presidential Candidate” said: “the corruption allegation made by Clark in his letter was false and unrealistic.

It would be recalled that the former senator and convener of the influential Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), had on Thursday accused Okowa of being a dictator, corrupt and betraying the people of the South for accepting to be Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s running mate.
