The children of the late Mrs. Janet Keneghan Onduku, a renowned caterer, fashion designer, and contractor, have announced plans to mark the 34th anniversary of her passing. Born in 1937, Mrs. Onduku left an indelible mark on her family and community before her untimely death on January 9, 1991, at the age of 54.

To celebrate her life and legacy, a thanksgiving Mass will be held at the Annunciation Catholic Church, Ogunu, Warri, on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at 8:30 AM. Friends, relatives, and well-wishers are invited to join the family in honoring Mrs. Onduku’s memory.

Mrs. Onduku was a devoted wife to the late Chief Thomas Omette Onduku and a loving mother to their six children. Her family remembers her as a cheerful giver, a philanthropist, and a pillar of strength to her loved ones.

The statement released by her eldest son, Barr. Preye Onduku, described Mrs. Onduku as a woman who loved her family and community dearly. He recalled her close relationship with her elder sister, Mama Sylver Bomor-Nee Bozimo, and her elder brother, Alaowei Broderick Bozimo, who has fond memories of her.

As the family gathers to celebrate Mrs. Onduku’s life, they pray that her soul continues to rest in peace, and that her legacy of love, kindness, and generosity inspires future generations.

“May the Perpetual light of God shine upon her soul through Christ our Lord, Amen”, the statement noted.

“She is survived by six children, Barr. Preye Onduku, Ayaebi Onduku,
