36 suspected internet fraudsters dislodged by EFCC

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Enugu Zonal Command, said it has apprehended 36 alleged internet fraudsters on Wednesday.

This was made available to newsmen by the Head of Media and Publicity of the EFCC Mr Wilson Uwujaren on Wednesday, in Abuja, FCT.

Mr Wilson Uwujaren while briefing newsmen said the suspects were arrested at Imo by credible intelligence linking between them with the cyber fraud, targeting base on foreign nationals.

According to him, some items were recovered from the suspects which are, laptops, phones, International passports and one Lexus ES350 with NYCN registration number IMO 44.

“Other items recovered are; one Toyota Camry with Lagos registration number KTU 720 HL and one Mercedes Benz GLK with Lagos registration number KTU 729 HD, he added.

Mr Wilson Uwujaren explained that the suspects would be charged to court after the completion of the investigations.
