Gunmen kill 3, injure scores in Bauchi

Suspected kidnappers have killed three persons and injured undisclosed numbers in a renewed attack by Yadagungume, Limi villages in Ningi LGA of Bauchi State on Tuesday.

A source said the bandits invaded the community in a large number with heavy weapons.

A victim who manage to escape the attack named those killed as; Shuaibu Salihu 17 years, Ruwa Ali Mai Inji Limi, 45 years and Sunusi Isah Burra.

According to him, one of the victims, Sunusi Isah Burra who was abducted alongside others, was murdered a few days after his abduction.

Bauchi State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer SP Ahmed Wakili confirmed the incident. He reposed confidence and assured the community of safety, just as he promised that the command is on top of the situation.

“We received the news of an incident of kidnapping which was reported today, May 11, 2023, at about 5.00 am. It was reported at our Yadagungume Outstation and it was transferred to Burra Divisional Headquarters.”
