Breaking: President Bola Tinubu Appoints Akume As SGF

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sworn Senator George Akume in as the next Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).

Some of the high-profile personalities who graced the presidential Villa in Abuja include some current and previous governors.

According to reports, Akume took his oath of office and allegiance in the Villa’s council chambers at about 11:06 am, on Wednesday, June 7.

Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Ahmed Lawan, Kwara Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Head of the Civil Service of the Federation Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan, and Wife of the New SGF Mrs. Regina Akume were among the dignitaries present at the occasion.
