WANTED: Phone Seller Allegedly Abscond With Customer’s N158k

By Sola Omoniyi, Lagos
Phone gadgets seller, simply identified as Busari Adegbeminiyi Paul, has allegedly absconded with a customer’s N158,000.
According to the information, Busari was contacted by Taiwo Azeez, who wanted to swap his current mobile phone for iPhone 11 pro max.
It was gathered that they both agreed on adding N158,000 with his current mobile phone to collect iPhone 11 pro max.
Mr Taiwo asserted that he first sent Busari a sum of N18,000 on May 25, 2023, through his Opay account 8107511050, with account name Busari Adegbeminiyi Paul, and again sent N140,000 on May 28, 2023.
According to a screenshot chat between the duo, Mr Busari Paul affirmed to have received the payment of N158,000 by Mr Taiwo Azeez.
However, things fall apart when Mr Taiwo noticed that the phone seller has blocked him on WhatsApp, and efforts to reach him proved abortive.
Mr Taiwo went to his phone-selling spot and it was reported that he has left for another city.
At the time of this report, efforts to reach Mr Busari Paul proved abortive as he didn’t pick up calls.
