Amnesty International has called on the Nigerian government had claimed that over 120 people have been killed since President Bola Ahmed Tinubu came to office on May 29.

The organisation called on Nigerian authorities to launch an investigation into the daily killings of Nigerian citizens.

According to a statement by Isa Sanusi, the organisation’s acting director, said attacks by harmed gunmen had claimed not less than 123 people in two weeks President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had been president.

Rural communities are always ready for the next violence, as they usually face attacks by rampaging killers almost every week.

Mr Isa maintained that protecting lives should be the top priority of the new administration.

He maintained that the authority in the country has failed in terms of security and daily killings have become a norm.

Mr Isa asserted that the killers were being pampered by the authorities over their failure to launch an investigation and get them apprehended and stopped the killings.
