Student Loan To Cover Private Public Students, Begins September / October – Tinubu

Following the newly signed student loan bill by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Federal Government of Nigeria stated that it had begun putting things in place to ensure students loan begin between September and October 2023.
This is according to Andrew David Adejo, the Permanent Secretary, of the Federal Ministry of Education.
Mr David stated that President Tinubu has approved a committee to see to the realization of the student loan bill.
Recall, the student loan bill was sponsored by the former speaker of the 9th House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamla, who provides interest-free loans to Nigerian student citizens.
The bill is to provide easy access to higher education for Nigerians through what is called the Higher Education Nigerian Bank.
However, the government is to set up a specialized bank for the operation of the loans, where there will be a tracking system for the efficient running of the loan Scheme.
Mr David commends the newly elected president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, asserting that he’s a job creator.
