We’ll Not Fail Nigerians, Speaker House of Rep. Abbas Vows

By Sola Omoniyi, Lagos
The newly elected Speaker of the House of Representatives, Honourable Tajudeen Abass, and his Deputy, Honourable Benjamin Kalu, have vowed not to disappoint Nigerians in their administration.
The duo expressed their dedication to collectively serve Nigerians as the 10th National Assembly.
Honourable Abbas states that this is the first time Nigeria will be having this kind of arrangement in history.
He asserted this during a gesture of gratitude visit to the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.
Abbas maintained that the National Assembly is fully committed to providing the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu with total support in fulfilling his promises.
“This is your leadership; we will collaborate and partner, especially in one area you request, which is to carry the women along,” he stated.
He promised that the 10th Assembly would ensure gender-based bills being passed by the 9th Assembly but not signed into law would be reconsidered and passed by the 10th House.
However, the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, congratulated the speaker and his Deputy on their victory.
